unmanaged birth v. in system delivery

Mother-owned birth is a paradigm shift from in-system delivery.

Here's some examples of why:

Woman owned Birth

-You, the birthing woman, are the sole authority over your body, birth and baby

Current System

-Medical managers are the authorities over both you and your baby.

Woman owned Birth

- The birth of your baby is from you. 

Current System

-You  deliver your baby to other people. 

Woman owned Birth

-You, the creator of your baby, naturally and spontaneously do everything needed to birth, and feed and care for your baby in pure love and health. 

Current System

-Women must be rescued from their own bodies, and their babies rescued from them. The woman herself is secondary because her body  is an acute or potential danger to her baby.

Woman owned Birth

-During the birth process, you move, rest, eat, drink, scream,  dance, breathe quietly, or do anything at all. You are free.

Current System

-You "get" some of the things you hoped for during labor if your medical mangers allow it.

Woman owned Birth

Any pregnant human may home-birth.

Current System

Some women may potentially home-birth:  you must initially be labeled "low risk" by current medical standards and pass enough tests to keep the "low risk" label through immediate postpartum. 

Woman owned Birth

During your birth process, no one comes near you unless you call them to you.  You are supreme.

Current System

Medical staff members come at you in a revolving door style during your labor or induction to check your cervix and adjust the machines attached to your body. You are the subject in a "trial of labor"  to attempt vaginal delivery.

Woman owned Birth

When your baby is born, only you touch your baby until and if you allow someone else to do so. 

Current System

It's per medical protocol and situation. Some women, sometimes, are allowed to hold and breastfeed their baby for part of the time postpartum.

DEFINITION EMOTIONAL ABUSE:"...The victim may feel their emotions are being affected by the abuser to such an extent that the victim may no longer recognize their own feelings regarding the issues the abuser is trying to control. The result is the victim's self-concept and independence are systematically taken away.[6] "
What happens to mothering and birth and women when we submit ourselves and our children to the System and/or to our partners/family/others and then  "no longer recognize (our) own feelings?"
