my path to homebirth

I walk with women and families on the sovereign path. This path comes to me after decades of working in the mainstream system.

I've served hundreds of families for pregnancy, birth, mothering, and more.

I walk with my clients, I'm not an authority over them. I follow the woman, offer my wisdom and skills when she wants this, and continue to follow the woman.

When we walk together we explore options including wild pregnancy, self-testing, in system testing, self-care, and holistic care. Mostly we clear the clutter, especially the energetic clutter.

I'm not a medical provider, nor am I in the process of becoming one. I'm not accountable to any medical regulations. I'm not licensed by the state. 

I do not provide medical advice.

Most of all I learn from my clients. Actually, I learn from clients every day.

I'm credentialed by Whapio's Matrona for Holistic Midwifery. I have a holistic midwifery education.

I'm credentialed as a birthkeeper, and currently I'm enrolled at Matribirth Midwifery Institute. I'm also taking Breech Pro 2 from Breech without Borders.

I follow Free Birth Society, Whapio's Matrona, Indie Birth, Sara Wickham, Kemi Joy, and many local people.

MY ROOTS: my ancestors, especially my mom, Eunice Dittmer Girard, and my main spirit guide, grandmother Ann Keune Girard, my own children, friends, all kinds of people, Mother Earth, books, meditations, witnessing, and my own epiphanies.

I explore and learn daily such as in depth connections with my clients, birth workers, friends, family and Mother Earth. 

I'm a mother, friend, wife, earth worshipper, river walker, yogi, reiki practitioner, and a woman rich with life experiences. I'm deeply grateful for all of this.

My default is to be outside.

PRIOR TO WALKING AS A MIDWIFE                                      

I worked 24 years in the medical paradigm: 18 years in cardiology and six years as a doula. I've had many certificates, degrees, credentials, and jobs.
