Birth Attendance with Birth Keeper Martha
For homebirth attendance we do everything in freebirth prep and I'm on call to attend your birth and immediate postpartum as an experienced birth witness.
Here's what happens.
First, we create a trust based relationship at our prenatal sessions.
Next, I support and witness you at your birth space. After you've birthed I stay until you and your newborn are both fed and snuggled in. No time limits here.
I visit you 12 to 30 hours post birth, then again on day two or day three postpartum typically.
And, I offer support postpartum for up to five weeks daytime 9 to 5, up to four times a week. Generally these sessions are two to three hours but longer if needed. All of this is flexible.
My support is tailored to the pregnant woman and her family, there's no template.

First step is to sign up on the main page of this site for a discovery session.
Ask about joining our private membership.
$3,200 is the standard exchange for this service. You may take a $300 discount if you pay in full by 18 weeks pregnant. You may take a $150 discount if you reside in the city of Milwaukee or within a 6-mile radius of downtown Milwaukee.
If you do not have access to money to cover the usual exchange let me know and we'll work something out. When we're called to walk together money will not divide us.
-I'm a prenatal yoga instructor and level 2 reiki practitioner. We can do yoga or reiki at these sessions also.

At your birth space
I may:
-Support you physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
-Help with the placenta birth.
-Clear the energy.
-Help with siblings, partners, and other support people.
-Be one room away for most of the time.
-Logistical things such as dishes, food prep.
I do:
-Honor mother-baby as one unit.
-Respond in the moment as needed.
-Exalt and follow the birthing woman as the fully capable woman that she is.
-Share my instinct and opinions with the mother.
-Help with newborn transition if needed.
-Stay until the placenta has birthed, mom and baby are fed and snuggled in, things are cleaned up, and both mother and baby are stable.
None of this is timed. When the birth goes smoothly (sovereign birth is smooth the vast majority of the time) then I typically stay about two hours after the placenta birth. If there were challenges I stay longer.

Postpartum with Martha
I may:
- Nourish the mother.
-Do something so mother can sleep more.
- Explore the newborn with the family, such as how's he doing physically. and energetically.
- Listen to the mother or partner and then listen to them some more.
- Breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or pumping support + help with everything newborn.
- Help with older children, pets, errands.
- Help with paperwork.
- Go to appointments with the family.
- Explore keeping your newborn wild or ways to present her to the system.
