Sovereign birth education

I guide women and families on the basics of sovereign birth, this means birth free from state controlled obstetrics. We go over the "what ifs."  We go over freebirth.*

Sovereign birth education as a stand alone service is for women who plan to birth without an experienced birth witness present. When I'm your birthkeeper or midwife, then all of this is included.

Here's what happens: We meet at your place when you're within an hour of Milwaukee Wi.  Other options: you come to Milwaukee or we meet on Zoom.

These sessions are premised on what happens at true physiologic birth and are not at all comparable to any mainstream childbirth education programs. 

 At our meetings, we may:

* see why birth is designed to work best when it's undisturbed

* clarify the difference between in-system homebirth and sovereign homebirth

* I get to know your partner and family

* ways to encourage a healthy pregnancy

* clarify prenatal care options: wild pregnancy,** self testing, some in system tests 

* clarify variations of normal on pregnancy, birth, placenta birth, and more

* go over newborn appearance 

* explore the "what ifs"

* untangle  your dreams, fears, concerns, family stories and imprints, +

* birth story integration

* go over the facts about hospital transfer 

* create a postpartum plan

* integrate your partner or anyone else in your orbit to the concept of sovereign birth

* ask me anything!

All of the above is optional, and we may do other things too.

+ Option for me to be on call for virtual support during your birth is an add-on service, payable prior to labor, depending on availability.

Your offering, aka the fee is this: $250 per session, $1000 for five sessions, or $1800 for 10 sessions.

For group meetings we can set up a package where each person/couple pays less than the 1:1 rate. 

The sessions are not timed, they're usually 2 to 3 hours. You can use the sessions starting prior to pregnancy and up to one year post birth. Venmo, Paypal, cash, or check prior to our first session.

Any woman may birth in sovereignty. This means "may birth," and not that anyone "should" do this.

You may have questions, been told, "You cannot homebirth,"  been excluded from licensed midwife care, or need more information to see if freebirth or sovereign birth is for you. We sort this out.

To my knowledge Jeannine Parvati-Baker coined the phrase "freebirth."
